Simpleshow runs screens, and lets the people in front of them reply from their own phones. This page says what that involves, in plain words. It adds to the general Web Pros privacy policy; where the two differ, this page wins for Simpleshow.
Simpleshow is made by Web Pros, a Utah business. Post reaches us at 304 S Jones Blvd. #2092, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Reach a person at [email protected].
Three kinds of people
- Customers: the businesses that run screens with Simpleshow, and the people they invite.
- Visitors: anybody who scans a code on a Simpleshow screen.
- Team members: the customer's staff who capture contacts on a phone paired with Simpleshow.
When a visitor or a team member gives us details, they are given to the customer who runs that screen. We hold them for that customer and do not use them for anything else. We never sell personal data, and we never use it to advertise.
What customers give us
- Your name, email address and a password, which we store only as a salted one-way hash.
- Your organisation's name, brand colours and logo, and the content of your screens, including any pictures and files you upload.
- If you subscribe, Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your card details.
What visitors give us
Only what they type into the form after scanning, which says whose it is before they send it: usually a name, an email address, a company, a phone number and an answer to one question. Votes in a poll and giveaway claims are recorded against the screen they came from.
- Recognising you next time, and how that is limited. Your browser keeps a random token so a form can be filled in for you on your next visit, and it says so when it does. We store that token only in a one-way form combined with the customer, so the same phone at two different companies looks like two unrelated people, even to us. "Not you? Start fresh" forgets you: you stop being recognised, and what you already gave stays with the customer you gave it to.
- We keep a one-way hash of the network address a form was sent from, to spot abuse, never the address itself, and the browser's name and version.
What team members capture
The contacts a team member saves on a paired phone: the details they type, a photo of a badge or a business card if they take one, a voice note if they record one and its transcript, and any notes. Until a lead syncs it exists only on that phone.
Cameras
Simpleshow never uses a camera to watch or count people for any customer. A camera is used only when somebody chooses to take a picture of a badge or a card: a team member on a paired phone, or a visitor who holds up their own badge to a kiosk iPad instead of typing. On a kiosk that picture is read and thrown away; it is never stored. We are testing people counting on our own screens: a device next to a screen — or the same iPad that is running a game on it — looks for people (never faces) and sends only a number, how many were in view, and no picture ever leaves that device. Before we offer it to anybody else, this page will say exactly how it works.
Kiosks
A customer can put an iPad beside a screen for visitors to tap. What a visitor enters there goes to that customer, exactly as it would from their own phone. A kiosk is shared, so it remembers nobody: it keeps no token that could recognise the next person, stores nothing on the iPad, and clears the form as soon as each person finishes or walks away.
A kiosk can also show a customer's products. When a visitor asks for one, their details and the name of that product go to the customer, and the product's details are emailed to them. Taps on a product are counted per day, as a number only: nothing about who tapped is recorded.
AI features
- Reading a badge or a card. The photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude to read the printed details into the form. The person capturing checks them before saving. On a kiosk, the visitor checks them, and the picture is not kept.
- Voice notes are transcribed by Cloudflare's speech-to-text service.
- Build with AI. What you type, small copies of the photos you choose and, if you give it, the text of a few pages of your own website are sent to Anthropic's Claude to draft slides. The draft is a suggestion in your editor until you save it.
- Finding your products. If you ask, the text of a few pages of your own website, and the addresses of the pictures on them, are sent to Anthropic's Claude to list your products. Nothing is added until you tick it. A picture you choose is copied from your site into your Simpleshow storage, so kiosks never load it from anybody else's site.
None of it is used to train models. We use Anthropic's API, whose terms exclude that.
Canva, if you connect it
Connecting Canva is optional, and it belongs to the person who connects it. We ask Canva for two permissions only: to see the list of your designs, and to export the designs you choose. When you pick a design, we export its pages as pictures and keep those copies as your slides. We read nothing else from your Canva account. The keys Canva gives us are encrypted before they are stored. Choose Disconnect Canva in the editor to remove them at any time. Canva's own privacy policy covers your Canva account.

Cookies and browser storage
No advertising trackers, anywhere. Our public marketing pages (the home page, the guides, the demo, and these policy pages) use Google Analytics to count visits, which sets Google's own cookies. Everything you actually use loads nothing from anybody else's site: the console, your screens, the page a visitor reaches from a QR code, prize draws and the team phone app. The exceptions are your own choices: once you have connected Canva, the editor shows your design thumbnails straight from Canva; a web page you put on a slide is loaded by the screen straight from that site, which sees the visit as it would any other; and a YouTube video on a slide plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). A video you upload is stored with us and each screen keeps its own copy, so playing it involves nobody else.
ss_sessionkeeps a customer signed in.ss_devicekeeps a team member's paired phone paired.- A screen keeps a copy of its own content in the browser so it keeps playing through a Wi-Fi drop. A visitor's browser keeps the token described above. The phone app keeps unsynced leads until they sync.
How long, and how to remove it
- We keep a customer's data while their account exists. Deleting a channel deletes the entries it collected. A picture or file that no slide, logo or lead uses any more is deleted from storage within a day, so removing a slide, a channel or a lead also removes its pictures, including pages imported from Canva.
- Ask us to close your account and we delete all of it: every person, channel, entry, lead and phone, and every stored file. We confirm by email when it is done.
- Visitors: the customer who ran the screen decides what happens to what you gave them, so ask them first. You can also write to us, and we will make sure it is removed.
Children
Simpleshow is for businesses. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect details from anybody under 13.
